On November, 3rd, KIU rector Asiya Timiryasova met Mr. Sun Xiaoping, rector of Liaoning Shihua University (LSHU) which is located in Fushun, China. They signed an Agreement for mutual cooperation.
Liaoning Shihua University was established in 1950. Along with petrochemistry, economic, humanitarian and natural-science disciplines are taught there.
The cooperation between our universities has started several years ago when KIU graduate Leyla Bikkinina won a grant for 4 year long Master’s studies at LSHU. Nowadays three our graduates do a Master’s at LSHU. Therefore signing of the Agreement for mutual cooperation was expected and inevitable.
The universities have a lot of perspective areas of cooperation, such as Master’s programs, long-term and short-term language courses, Russian and Chinese languages as foreign, teaching techniques of Chinese as a foreign language, student internships and mobility programs, mutual development of educational programs and others.
