On November, 9th the All-Russian Anti-Corruption scientific conference took place in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited a thematic exhibition before starting the conference.
At KIU’s exhibition stand he got acquainted with the work products of scientists of KIU Anti-Corruption Scientific Research Institute: books, journals, educational programs and many more.
The conference unified representatives of scientific organizations involved in anti-corruption research, representatives and Expert Council of the President Administration of the Russian Federation in the anti-corruption field, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Central Office of the Government of the Russian Federation, Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, heads of federal state bodies and state bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Minnikhanov emphasized in his greeting speech that Tatarstan presents itself as the territory of uncompromising fight against corruption. Within the framework of special programs series of problem-solving measures are being implemented: improvement of state management transparency, administrative barriers reduction, legal literacy growth, engaging the citizens in community supervision and public authorities’ decisions implementation control.
Such important issues as development of consistent approach to implementation of anti-corruption policies in the subjects of the Russian Federation; legal issues of corruption control; electronic notification of income, property and property-related obligations details; competing interests in state and municipal service; anti-corruption education etc. have been discussed over the course of plenary meeting and scientific-practical discussions
