Kazan Innovative University has become a regional venue for the Moscow Academic Economic Forum. In 2024, the key theme of the forum is "The Russian Economy 2024+: new solutions in a new reality." The organizers of the forum are the Free Economic Society of Russia, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the International Union of Economists. Within the framework of the forum, a round table on the topic "Modern economy of Russia" was held in KIU: answers to new challenges."
The “Student Spring of KIU” has blossomed at Kazan Innovative University - a festival that has turned into an exciting journey through the amazing and multifaceted worlds of the university Universe. From the World of Knowledge to the World of Power, from the World of Creation to the World of Inspiration. The four worlds of KIU became a place of intellectual growth, physical training, creative inspiration and spiritual enrichment, where every participant and spectator of the festival found something special and meaningful for themselves. The event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kazan Innovative University.
Students from various countries and continents studying at KIU presented their love for Russia on stage and immersed all event participants in the culture of their countries.
Today, the importance of international cooperation and understanding the values of different countries is becoming increasingly relevant. Under the auspices of the BRICS summit, a round table “BRICS +: Values, Strategies and Practices of the Association” was held at Kazan Innovative University. The event brought together important experts and members of the public to discuss key issues of global values, development strategies and socio-cultural aspects of interaction between the BRICS countries.
Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov took fourth place among private universities in Russia and fifth place among all universities in Tatarstan in the Integral ranking of the effectiveness of communications of the “Social Navigator” project of the media group "Rossiya Segodnya" (“Russia Today”) and Brand Analytics.
The 'Digital Turn' in Legal Studies
The topic of digitalization and technologization of social relations and public administration, caused by the scientific and technological progress, has become ingrained in the academic legal framework. It now predominates, which can be seen in the rapid growth of publications and scientific events worldwide; in the amount of funding for innovative research in both developing and advanced countries; in laws being drafted and adopted in the field of high-tech industry; in strategic documents approved at the highest national and international levels and aimed at the development of the information society, artificial intelligence and other technologies. Digitalization has become a relevant and promising direction in several areas. The orbit of this “digital turn” has also involved the academic sphere, whose traditional methods and tools have been enriched by digital technologies, significantly influencing the system and research techniques of social sciences and humanities.
The Lenin Culture House hosted a unique anniversary festival of student creativity "Vesennyaya kapel'" ("Spring Drops"), dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazan Innovative University. This year, the bright holiday turned 25 years old - for so long, our university has been annually celebrating the creativity, initiative and talent of students on one stage. The guys gave the audience an unforgettable day of art, all the performances were prepared and presented at the highest level, and the atmosphere in the hall was mesmerizing from the first minutes.
Foreign students from Colombia, Cuba, China and India celebrated Maslenitsa in a big way on the town-island of Sviyazhsk and got acquainted with the East Slavic traditions of the holiday and the history of the region in which they are studying.
The third day of the International Forum “Continuous system of inclusive education: current state and development prospects” was entirely devoted to practice: fascinating and lively discussions, topical reports and workshops brought together leading researchers and students from different cities of Russia and Belarus.
On February 26, KIU delegation, consisting of Vice-Rector for Economics and Strategic Development Liliya Vorontsova and Head of the Department of International Relations Ekaterina Nikitina, represented the University at the largest higher education summit in Istanbul.
