On November, 1st, students of Kazan universities met Sir Laurie Bristow, British Ambassador to Russia. First-year students of KIU Faculty of Service, Tourism and Food Service Management were among them.
Dr. Bristow told about grant programs for foreign students who plan to study Masters in the UK. In the opinion of the Ambassador, there are no national boundaries in science nowadays. Despite all political disagreements, international scientific, educational and business cooperation still goes on.
The students used the opportunity to ask questions, some of them pretty thorny. Among the discussed issues were Brexit, gender biases in politics, and the ongoing European migration crisis.
