The results of beauty and talent contest “Mr. & Ms. KIU – 2017” were summarized. This is a large-scale event that opens new perspectives and opportunities and keeps the students going.

Every year the contest gets more popular. Students with proactive attitude and creative potential who prove themselves in education, science, public life, sports take part in it. “Everyone who made it to the final deserve to take on a crown and bear a title of the winner” – said KIU rector Asiya Timiryasova. “But there is one more important thing: while caring about the appearance, don’t forget about the inner side, your heart and soul”. The contest consisted of 3 stages. At first all participants presented themselves in an original manner: told about their achievements, realization of personal creative and athletic potential at KIU. Then they backed up words with deeds: touching poems, lively dances and popular songs – the students acted professionally and received thunderous applause of the audience. In the end the students flaunted their knowledge. The participants weren’t puzzled with the tricky questions: not only did they reply correctly, but also did it with a humorous undertone. Undoubtedly each participant deserved to become the winner, so the judges faced a hard choice. Pavel Dyatlov became “Mr. KIU – 2017” and Anna Kharzhavina received the title of “Ms. KIU – 2017” and was even invited to participate in “Miss Tatarstan – 2018”. Congratulations!
