Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov and its branches in Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk have successfully passed international and professional public accreditation, receiving the distinction mark “Excellent Quality”.
Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov has improved its position in Russia's first national ranking of universities for the quality of artificial intelligence education. According to the 2026 results, KIU was awarded the D++ category, moving up one level compared with the previous year. A particularly notable achievement is that KIU ranked second among all private universities included in the ranking.
On June 16, a graduation ceremony was held in Dandong, China, for the first cohort of bachelor's students enrolled in the joint program between Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov and Eastern Liaoning University in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
