Victory Day is annually celebrated in Russia on May, 9th. On that very day in the year of 1945 German Instrument of Surrender was announced to Soviet citizens: this meant that the horrible World War II was over. More than 27 million Soviet soldiers and civilians died in this war.
Out debt is to remember everyone, that’s why millions of people took part in so-called “Immortal Regiment”. It allows people to honor family members who were affected by the bloody conflict that was waged decades ago. Our students and workers were among them, including KIU rector Asiya Timiryasova.
