An action was held on April 17th at KIU to distribute personal protective equipments, antiseptics, and grocery baskets for students living in university dormitories.
Vietnamese society in the Republic of Tatarstan "Doanket" handed over 500 reusable fabric masks to students of our university. They also received 500 gloves, antiseptics and 150 disposable masks from university partners. In turn, Kazan Innovative University, prepared grocery baskets for students. About 80 foreign and nonresident students received sets with the most necessary meals and personal care products. There were rice grits, pasta, sugar, a sunflower oil, a ketchup, a mayonnaise, condensed milk, a soap in each package.
Students, who are currently living in dormitories across the country, are not easy. They were cut off from their home, away from their families.
According to a representative of the Vietnamese community, with their charity event, they once again emphasized the friendly and trusting relations that have developed between our countries. “At this difficult time, a decision was made about a charity project - the free transfer of masks. If these remedies help slow down the spread of the disease, this is a big deal that will set a good example for others. We are confident that by joint efforts we will be able to defeat the coronavirus infection”, the community says.
We recall how to wear a reusable mask. To put on a mask is necessary having fixed on a nose bridge and having closed a chin. You need to make sure that the mask is tight to the face. After three hours of use, the mask must be washed and then ironed at a maximum temperature on both sides. Remove the mask by straps.
In addition, in order to prevent the occurrence and further spread of a new coronavirus infection, do not forget about the following protective measures:
- observe the mode of self-isolation and stay at home,
- wash your hands often using a soap under running water,
- carry out regularly a disinfection at home and wipe gadgets, office equipments and surfaces, to which you touch with antiseptic agents,
- do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your hands,
- cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or cloth when you cough or sneeze,
- seek medical help in case of symptoms of a cold or fever.
