In September, international students from Italy, Colombia, Bolivia and Venezuela went on an interesting excursion to the Ancient Bolgar. The trip was planned as part of the historical, cultural and language education of foreign students. During the tour, students were accompanied by tutors and teachers who helped students practice the Russian language and learn a lot about the region in which they study.
Russian films about space and classics of Russian cinema with subtitles were watched by the students during the many-hour trip.
Upon arrival, they had lunch in a cafe with a view of the embankment. The lunch included dishes of Tatar cuisine for a deeper immersion in the atmosphere of life in Volga Bulgaria. The beautiful weather allowed to enjoy a multi-hour tour of the historical monuments of the great Volga Bulgaria. Students visited the White Mosque, the Koran Museum, the Miller's Estate, climbed the thousands of steps of the main minaret, which offers a picturesque view of the entire city and many other interesting places.
A trip to Great Bolgar is a regular event for international students of our University. The students expanded their horizons and sincerely enjoyed the trip.
