The event was held as part of the implementation of the grant «School of Eco-Volunteers of the 21th century» - a project of an initiative group of teachers of the Kazan Innovative University to apply for grants from The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting was attended by students who took part in school events, project initiators, as well as students and employees of KIU branches, on the basis of which the project was implemented. The meeting was moderated by the initiator of the school, director of the Research Institute of Social Philosophy of KIU, Oleg Agapov.
Within the framework of the roundtable methods and forms of improving the ecological culture of sitizens were considered; environmental habits of everyday life; social practices «green university» - the experience of KIU; development of ecological culture in the context of digital transformation of society and methods of the development of ecological communities.
During the period of implementation of the ideas of the project during 2021-2022, seven lectures were held for students, teachers of higher education and public figures of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The project partners are the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Tatarstan; the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan; the Presidential Grants Foundation; executive committees of municipal districts of Tatarstan; administration and community of rural settlements; the university community of Tatarstan; the business community of the Republic and the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan; public councils of municipal districts; environmental non-profit organizations of Tatarstan.
Since 2010, over the entire period of the project, more than 3,000 participants have been involved, 17 scientific and practical conferences and more than 100 seminars and 70 workshops have been held, 5 grants of Presidential Grants Fund and oThe Government of the Republic of Tatarstan have been won for a total amount of over 2 million rubles.
At the same time, from November 2021 to September 2022, the School of Eco-Volunteers of the XXI century attracted over 1800 participants, 7 lectures (November 2021 – May 2022) and 5 workshops in a hybrid format were held. Within the framework of the program, 2 waves of eco-workers were organized: from June 6 to 16 and from September 10 to 25, and the project "Strong Ideas for a New Time" was created, which was selected to participate in the regional stage of the Federal ASI Competition.
One of the important achievements of the work of the School of Eco-volunteers of the XXI century on the basis of Kazan Innovative University was the assignment of the university 6th place among the best "green" universities in Russia according to the average score of the all-russian competition of student eco-projects "My Green University" under the auspices of the all-russian program "Green Universities of Russia". 122 projects were submitted for the competition, a total of 33 of them made it to the final.
Evgenia Baibakova, one of the initiators of the project School of Eco–Volunteers of the XXI century, senior lecturer of the Faculty of Computer Modeling and Technosphere Security, spoke at the roundtable: "I would like to wish you to find even more like-minded people and enjoy your activities. When you study and do something socially useful, it should be satisfying. I wish your life to be full, and you could benefit society on a maximum."
