On March 17, KIU hosted the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of Theory and Methods of Professional Linguistic Education”, which has been giving not only Russian scientists, but also foreign specialists the opportunity to unite and discuss the most pressing scientific problems for several years now.
The conference is traditional; it is held annually within the walls of the University. The Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication of KIU acts as its organizer.
The conference was opened by Roza Valeeva, Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication, and Igor Bikeev, First Vice-Rector, Vice-Rector for Research at KIU. Following the welcoming part, the participants of the plenary session presented scientific reports. They were distinguished by scientific depth, variety of problems and scale of research. After a coffee break, during which the conference participants continued to lively discuss the plenary reports, the work of the sections began.
At the breakout sessions, reports varied in terms of issues, topical in terms of demand and deep in the scientific approach were presented. The participants of the conference, exchanging scientific results, noted that such a meeting of researchers continued the excellent tradition of bringing together scientists from different countries, exchanging scientific experience and mutual cultural enrichment, stressed that the results of the conference are significant and in demand far beyond the walls of the university, allow us to successfully solve problems and respond to the challenges of a changing world.
