The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation has summed up the results of the contest for Scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation among students who have achieved outstanding success in their studies and scientific research. This year, Kazan Innovative University took first place among private universities in Russia in terms of the number of scholarship holders, and also became one of the first in the unofficial regional ranking in terms of the number of awarded Scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation.

In total, 1,605 talented young people from all over the country took part in the contest for the award of Scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation. And only 438 scholarship recipients were selected following a meeting of the contest committee.

Among private universities of Russia, among the scholarship recipients were the KIU, Innopolis University and Siberian Law University. Of the 12 winners, more than half of the scholarship recipients - 7 students are KIU students:

• Bogdanova Yulia, student of group 104 of the Faculty of Economics, bachelor's level;
• Bondarenko Ivan, student of group 101 of the Faculty of Economics, bachelor's level;
• Vinogradova Anastasia, student of group 203 of the Faculty of Law, bachelor's level;

• Vyatkina Svetlana, student of group 511 of the Faculty of Management and Engineering Business of the Naberezhnye Chelny branch, bachelor's level;

• Kamilla Alikovna, student of group 721M of the Faculty of Management and Engineering Business, master’s level;

• Taishev Tagir, student of group 1021 of the Faculty of Management and Engineering Business, bachelor's level;

• Shevelev Ivan, student of group 511 of the Faculty of Management and Engineering Business of the Naberezhnye Chelny branch, bachelor's level.

In just a few years, through the joint efforts of students, academic advisors, faculty and university administration, we have overcome the path that other universities spent more than two centuries on.

For the third year in a row, students have worthily represented KIU at the all-Russian level. At the end of the 2019/20 and 2020/21 academic years, one presidential scholarship holder studied at KIU. At the end of the 2021/22 academic year, four students and one graduate student of KIU have already received this award. At the same time, in terms of the total number of scholarship holders, we then took second place among all universities in Tatarstan and second place among private universities in the country.

In 2023, KIU shared first place with KFU in the unofficial republican ranking in terms of the number of Scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation and took first place among all private universities in the country!

This is far from the only high position of KIU in this year’s rankings. The university ranks 1st among private universities in Russia according to the Interfax agency in two indicators: “Education” and “Innovation”. KIU also ranks first in the rating of demand for graduates in Tatarstan according to hh.ru.
