Rector of the Kazan Innovative University Asiya Timiryasova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Strategic Development of KIU Liliya Vorontsova and Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Ruslan Zagitov took part in the All-Russian Congress on Educational Work and Youth Policy. During the event, Ruslan Zagitov was elected to the Presidium of the Council of Vice-Rectors.

Representatives of KIU took part in an organized meeting of rectors and vice-rectors with the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov. The productive exchange of ideas and experience in the field of educational work and youth policy at the exhibition "Russia" emphasized the importance of the participation of educational institutions in solving key issues of education and student life.

Ruslan Rafatovich Zagitov successfully represented the Volga Federal District in the Presidium of the Council of Vice-Rectors, which made his election a noticeable step in the development of youth policy in the region. More than 500 vice-rectors responsible for youth policy, representatives of federal executive authorities and the offices of representatives of the President of the Russian Federation in federal districts took part in the Congress.
