The Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rossotrudnichestvo and Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov, with the support of the state bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan, are holding an international round table "The Public for sovereign development" on September 12, 2024. It is scheduled to coincide with the BRICS Summit, which will take place in October 2024 in Kazan.

Russia is one of the conceptual leaders in the formation of BRICS. Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced that taking into account civilizational and national specifics is a meaningful guideline for the social consolidation of the BRICS countries, acting as a key value for the countries that are members of the BRICS association, it becomes an important basis for the formation of a new model of international relations.

Putting forward the goal of strengthening public support for the course towards the sovereign development of the BRICS community countries is an excellent basis for international consolidation of the public, for the participation of prominent civil and religious leaders in this movement. The implementation of the strategy for broad socio-political consolidation and support for sovereign development requires the organization of a systematic dialogue with the participation of prominent civil and religious figures. The exchange of ideas on the development of BRICS will make it clear that the presence of ideological and religious differences, established civilizational, historical and cultural traditions is not an obstacle to the development of inter-civilizational relations between the BRICS countries. It seems that the international round table will serve as an impetus for the creation of an influential international movement within the BRICS community.

The program of the event:

September 11 – the arrival of participants;

September 12 is the day of the international round table "The Public for Sovereign Development".

10.00 – 12.00 – session I - "The concept of sovereignty in a multipolar world as a guideline and resource for the development of civil society"

12.00 – 13.00 – lunch;

13.00 – 15.00 –session II "Development of interethnic and interreligious relations in a multipolar world"

15.00 – 15.30 – Coffee break

15.30 – 17.00 – Adoption of the resolution – key theses for the public of the BRICS countries and the media.

September 13 – excursion to Sviyazhsk (at the request of participants).

Participants:

- representatives of the BRICS civil society institutions;

- the academic community of universities in Russia and Tatarstan, BRICS.

You can take part in the round table both in person and online. In accordance with the established practice of holding intergovernmental conferences of this nature, travel and daily subsistence allowance for participants are provided by their governments, public foundations or universities.
