Students from Kazan Innovative University are currently attending an academic program at Liaoning University of Petroleum and Chemical Technology in Fushun, China.
The grand opening ceremony of the International Summer Camp on Petroleum Engineering took place in early June, with participation from both KIU students and faculty members.
At the ceremony, Vice President Cao Jiantao of the Chinese university delivered a welcome speech emphasizing the significance of academic and cultural exchange between Russia and China. He noted that the KIU delegation's visit represents not just bridging geographical distances, but also an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

KIU delegation leader Venera Mansurova expressed her hopes that the summer camp would serve as a platform for inspiration and innovation while further developing the partnership between the two institutions. The camp program, organized under the "Study in China" initiative, features:
- A two-week intensive course on petroleum engineering and green energy technologies
- Cultural immersion activities
- Professional lectures and workshops
- Hands-on experience with Chinese traditions

"The experience has been incredibly enriching," shared Mansurova. "We received special bracelets commemorating the Dragon Boat Festival. The packed schedule includes both organized excursions and free time for independent exploration. We've visited the Institute of Arts, logistics training laboratories, and the School of Management - with activities carefully tailored to our students' diverse academic backgrounds."

"We contributed to the cultural exchange by performing the Russian song 'Katyusha' with Chinese lyrics at an international festival, which was attended by the university's leadership. They warmly welcomed us and wished us a rewarding stay in China."
This initiative marks another significant milestone in expanding KIU's international collaborations and creating new opportunities for its students.
