On September 23, 2025, the II Russian-Chinese Forum "Culture of Education" was held in St. Petersburg at the venue of the National Research University "Higher School of Economics".
The event, which brought together more than 100 leading experts in higher education from Russia and China, became an important milestone in the development of international academic cooperation. During the recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the PRC, a new page of strategic partnership was opened - Russia and China will hold "cross" Years of Education in 2026-2027, which creates unprecedented opportunities for academic mobility between our countries.
Within the framework of the forum, V. G. Timiryasov Kazan Innovative University, represented by Rector Asiya Timiryasova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Strategic Development Liliya Vorontsova, Head of the International Relations Department Ekaterina Nikitina, and Specialist of the International Relations Department Samira Yarullina, worthily presented its educational initiatives and many years of experience in cooperation with Chinese educational organizations. In her speech, Asiya Vitalyevna Timiryasova emphasized the successful experience in personnel training in various professional fields and presented promising areas of cooperation, which aroused particular interest on the Chinese side.
Within the forum, negotiations were held with representatives of the largest private universities in China. The key topic of discussion was building long-term and mutually beneficial communication. The parties outlined specific steps for the development of joint educational programs, organization of student exchanges, and implementation of scientific projects. Participation in the Forum allowed V. G. Timiryasov Kazan Innovative University to present itself on a prestigious international platform and conclude a number of cooperation agreements.
This event opens up new opportunities for the students and teachers of our university, strengthening its position as one of the leaders in the internationalization of Russian higher education.
