October 2nd held a special, celebratory atmosphere in the auditorium of Kazan Innovative University. Here, a solemn concert took place, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the system of secondary vocational education, the official state holiday – the Day of Secondary Vocational Education, as well as the 25th anniversary of the College within the structure of KIU.

At the beginning of the event, guests were reminded of the historical significance of the day: it was on October 2, 1940, that the Decree laying the foundation for the system of state labor reserves was issued, and since 2022, this date has been officially celebrated in Russia as the Day of Secondary Vocational Education.
A symbolic start to the celebration was the performance of the National Anthems of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov , which emphasized the unity and patriotic spirit of the evening.
Recognition and Gratitude
College Director Yulia Viktorovna Khadiullina addressed the audience with official words and warm congratulations. "The history of our college is a history of foresight and dedication to the cause," noted Yulia Viktorovna. She emphasized that the formation of the college began with the deep conviction of our university's founder, Vitaly Gaynulovich Timiryasov, that the future of a university is born in school. He understood that to help young people on their difficult path of professional self-determination, it was necessary to build bridges from the school desk.
His strategic vision was brilliantly brought to life by the Vice-Rector for Continuous Education, Professor Daniya Zagrievna Akhmetova. Together with Vitaly Gaynulovich, they laid the foundation for a unique system – "school – college – university," which remains our hallmark to this day.
It is thanks to this initiative and boundless belief in the students' potential that our college has transformed into a large, dynamically developing organization where 15 in-demand specialties are now implemented.
The Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Ruslan Rafatovich Zagitov, provided a creative impulse for our college, initially leading its educational work. Under his leadership, a holistic system of educational work was created, and he was at the origins of our famous creative collectives: the "Ъ" theater studio, the "Dialog" dance group, the "Evterpa" vocal studio, the "STRISH" fashion theater, the "Belye Lilii" volunteer organization, and the first Student Council.
Yulia Viktorovna thanked the University Rector, Asiya Vitalyevna Timiryasova, for the boundless opportunities that open up for students at KIUI. "Today, hundreds of happy students study at KIU College, and hundreds of engaged employees work here. And this is our shared pride and main achievement," concluded the College Director.
KIU Rector Asiya Vitalyevna Timiryasova noted that this year is truly landmark for KIU. "All of Russia is celebrating the 85th anniversary of the system of secondary vocational education, and we are celebrating another, no less important date – the 25th anniversary of our college within the structure of Kazan Innovative University!" said the Rector.
Asiya Vitalyevna pointed out that initially the college consisted of several classrooms in Kazan schools and branches of our university (then the Institute of Economics, Management, and Law). The Rector emphasized that a tremendous transformation has occurred over the past years, made possible by the labor and enthusiasm of the college's staff and teachers. Today, KIUC College has almost 7000 students, with motivated young people coming from 40 regions of Russia. KIUC College is now one of the largest colleges in the country!
"This glorious history is our common heritage. And I am absolutely sure that new achievements lie ahead of us, and we will still consider the successes of our graduates our main achievements. Happy anniversary, friends! Forward to new heights!" With these words, Asiya Vitalyevna inspired the hall and launched a wonderful concert.
