On March 4 and 5, 2026, the XXVIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Paradigm of Law in the Context of the Modern Development of Legal Science and Practice" was held at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (GrSU). The conference was attended by over 110 representatives from the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Hungary, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Among the participants were representatives of legal science, legal practitioners, judges, as well as postgraduate students, master's students, and undergraduate students.

Before beginning his report, which outlined the prospects for recognizing the partial legal personality of AI systems and their quasi-subjectivity in labor law, taking into account foreign experience, Professor K.L. Tomashevski thanked the representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno for their very close international cooperation with Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov, which is gaining new momentum every year. KIU acted as a co-organizer of this conference, and in 2026, scientific internships for several representatives of our university are planned in Grodno, based at the Faculty of Law of GrSU. In turn, teachers and students of Grodno State University actively participate in conferences organized in Kazan.
It is gratifying that this year, in addition to scholars, teachers, and postgraduate students, the conference in Grodno saw the active participation of representatives from several international organizations, namely the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, as well as the Chairman and a Judge of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union. In particular, the report by Alexey Dronov, Chairman of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union, was devoted to the topic "The Paradigm of Law in the Context of Global Transformation and the Role of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union in Upholding the Rule of Law."
The plenary session was also attended by representatives from Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Economic University, the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MGIMO University, Saratov State Law Academy, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the National Center for Legislation and Legal Research of the Republic of Belarus, and other organizations.

It should be noted that prior to the conference, a substantial collection of scientific articles, "The Paradigm of Law in the Context of the Modern Development of Legal Science and Practice," was published and is planned to be indexed in the RSCI. The published materials are devoted to current problems in various branches of law in the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, and other foreign countries; as well as theoretically and practically significant issues of the functioning and interaction of legal systems both within the EAEU and the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The publication formulates proposals and recommendations aimed at further improving legislation, taking into account the global challenges affecting the development of legal science and practice in the modern world.
After the conference concluded, participants had time to explore the rich historical and cultural landmarks of the city of Grodno.
