Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov held a commencement ceremony for its international students, marking a fitting close to the 2025–2026 academic year. The event brought together graduates from Latin America and the People's Republic of China, along with faculty and university staff, serving as both a milestone for the students' academic journeys and the starting point for their professional careers.
Today, KIU serves as a meeting ground for diverse cultures, traditions, and languages. The university enrolls 15,000 students from 20 countries worldwide. KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov offers not only high-quality education but also comprehensive support for international students' adaptation, professional growth, and exposure to the rich cultural heritage of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan. For many graduates, their years of study become a period of discovery, new connections, and meaningful accomplishments.
Throughout their studies, international students engage far beyond the classroom. They actively participate in research, creative activities, sports, and campus life, winning competitions, performing at festivals, launching their own projects, and building a genuine international student community alongside peers from around the world.
KIU places particular emphasis on expanding international partnerships and developing modern educational programs, including those delivered in foreign languages, that meet the demands of the global job market. The university steadily broadens opportunities for international students by introducing new fields of study, advancing academic exchanges, and strengthening ties with overseas institutions.
On behalf of the university administration, Liliya Vorontsova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Strategic Development, congratulated the graduates on completing their studies, thanked the faculty for their professionalism and dedication to training international specialists, and encouraged the students to keep moving forward, maintain their curiosity, and look back fondly on their time at Kazan Innovative University.
