As part of the strategic cooperation between KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov and Heilongjiang University of Finance and Economics (HUFE), a group of KIU students enrolled in various fields of study successfully completed a large-scale educational internship in the city of Harbin.
Heilongjiang University of Finance and Economics is one of the leading specialized universities in northeastern China. It has a well-developed educational infrastructure and maintains partnerships with educational and scientific organizations in various countries. The integration of the resources of the two universities creates a platform for joint educational and research-practical projects aimed at strengthening Russian-Chinese ties and expanding international academic cooperation.
The internship program included a comprehensive study of the Chinese language, acquaintance with the culture of China, immersion in the daily life of Chinese students, and visits to industrial enterprises in the region. The competencies acquired during the internship allowed the participants to expand their knowledge about China, doing business in that country, and the etiquette of Asian countries, as well as to improve their Chinese language skills.
It is no coincidence that Harbin became the venue for the internship. It is one of the major educational and cultural centers of northeastern China, located near the Russian border and historically connected with Russia. The city is known for its distinctive architecture, rich history, and a combination of cultural traditions.
Participation in KIU's international programs allows students to develop key intercultural communication skills and expand their network of professional contacts. The practical experience gained in Harbin laid a solid foundation for the future international careers of the university's graduates.
