On February, 5th a seminar dedicated to creation of an English-language economics magazine was held in IEML conference hall. The periodical will cover economic issues and integration processes of BRICS cooperation.

On February, 5th a seminar dedicated to creation of an English-language economics magazine was held in IEML conference hall. The periodical will cover economic issues and integration processes of BRICS cooperation.

The project was presented by the First vice-rector, vice-rector for scientific work, doctor of law, professor I. I. Bikeev. He positioned the project from the point of view of Institute strategy of scientific activity development.

Vice-rector for corporate management T. V. Kramin delivered the main speech. He mentioned the most important aims of the project, such as higher publication activity of IEML teachers, raising the level of their skill in preparing the articles for top rated magazines indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science, creation the own SCOPUS magazines in IEML. The speeches provoked interest and a discussion, A newly-created BRICS economics magazine’s editor-in-chief R. A. Grigoryev answered a number of questions.

Besides the announcement of the new magazine, issues of articles publishing were raised. Therefore starting from February regular seminars on writing SCOPUS articles are conducted. During these seminars IEML staff will learn the techniques of writing extensive reviews, data collection procedure, econometric modeling, quick making of citations and bibliography etc.

Both employees of faculties that take part in writing the articles for the magazine and teachers of non-economic specialties who want to improve their skills in writing the articles are invited to the seminars.

As a result of the seminar it was decided to conduct a seminar for teachers in econometric modeling and to provide a list of information resources for working in international scientometric databases for everyone interested.
