Our international students prepared national Colombian and Bolivian national dishes.
International students cooked empanadas and milanesa. Empanadas are fried cakes, usually made with wheat flour and fried in oil. The filling can be varied: meat, fish, cheese, vegetable or fruit.
Milanesa is a beef steak that is one of the most popular dish in South America.
Russian students prepared a Tatar national dish - kystyby.
All the dishes were tasty and the students were waiting for everyone to taste their culinary creation. Students exchanged recipes and said it was a great opportunity to get to know each other's cultures and share traditions and cooking methods.
All students did their best and put a lot of effort into the successful holding of the Day of National Cuisine. A positive atmosphere reigned in the audience: they shared recipes, praised each other, expressed opinions about the dishes.
It is not only a culinary evening, but also a lot of interesting information about different peoples and their traditions, acquaintance with culture and philosophy, broadening one's horizons and learning national secrets.
