Maslenitsa was celebrated at the Kazan Innovative University with round dances, contests and delicious pancakes. Students, teachers and university staff gathered to spend the winter and meet the spring in the courtyard of the campus at 42 Moskovskaya.

Maslenitsa festivities were held in the best traditions of this holiday. The organizers have prepared a lot of sports and educational entertainment. Tug of war, pillow fight, felt boots throwing, divination, and even game with Chinese sticks. For passing these tests, the guys received points that could be exchanged for pancakes and hot tea, as well as for lottery tickets and receive valuable prizes.

You could also get points by participating in interactive activities and contests. So, for example, it was necessary to get a candy lying on a plate and sprinkled with flour without the help of hands.

In addition, everyone, together with the Ecocustoms team, could make a small scarecrow as a memory of the holiday as a small symbol of Maslenitsa.

Foreign students of KIU also took part in the celebration. For many of them it was the first such experience. Maslenitsa made a huge impression on them. They enthusiastically participated in the games and ate Russian pancakes with pleasure.
