A grandiose event took place at Kazan Innovative University - a festive concert dedicated to the 15th anniversary of teaching Chinese at KIU. The concert celebrated the achievements of the University during this period, and also expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the development of the Chinese language. Students and creative groups performed famous pieces of music and dance numbers, demonstrating their skills and love for culture. This event was a vivid example of how the University strives to develop intercultural relations and strengthen international cooperation.
The festive evening began with a dance of the Brooklyn group. Their performance set the tone for the entire concert, establishing an atmosphere of friendliness and comfort. It was a wonderful start to the celebration.
Rector Asiya Timiryasova addressed the students and guests with a welcoming speech. She noted the importance of learning foreign languages and especially Chinese, emphasizing that this is a way to build bridges between countries. Thanking everyone who contributed to the development of the Chinese language, she especially noted the merits of Anastasia Kokurina, who “truly became a bridge in establishing cooperation between KIU and Chinese universities.”
Students of the Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication of KIU performed the song «Подмосковные вечера» (“Moscow Nights”) in two languages – Chinese and Tatar. Their clear vocals and sincere delivery created an atmosphere of unity of cultures and languages.
Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan, Mr. Han Mingyu, addressing those present, noted the high level of Chinese language teaching at KIU and emphasized the importance of language as a means of communication and knowledge of the culture of another country. “I am surprised that in such a short period, KIU has reached a very high level in the field of teaching Chinese. Your students just performed in front of me and performed high-quality musical works in Chinese,” he noted.
It is worth noting that Kazan Innovative University has been cooperating with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China since its founding in Kazan. The Consulate General provides comprehensive support to all initiatives and undertakings of the KIU.
“We must understand that we are doing not just interesting, but also very important work. The Chinese people are very hardworking, talented and efficient. Chinese culture is ancient and rich. By interacting with them, we ourselves become larger and richer in all respects. It turns out that by developing our interaction, we are developing our country, developing ourselves, preparing a springboard for the successful future of the next generations,” noted the first vice-rector of KIU, vice-rector for scientific work, professor of the department of criminal law and procedure, doctor of legal sciences Igor Bikeev.
The festive atmosphere was filled not only with music, but also with spectacular performances. The audience was mesmerized by the colorful dance performed by the Grand Prix winners of KIU dance group "Mix style". The soul of the Tatar people was embodied in their bright costumes.
A Wushu master class was held for the guests, demonstrating the power and grace of the ancient Chinese martial art.
As part of the concert, teachers were awarded for their contribution to the development of the Chinese language at KIU and the winners of the first Chinese song competition.
The highlights of the program were the performances of Chinese students of Kazan State Conservatory named after N. G. Zhiganov. They skillfully performed famous Chinese songs, demonstrating a high level of mastery of their instrument. The audience was captivated by their talent and immersed in the atmosphere of Chinese culture.
The culmination of the concert was the performance of the song "Непохожие" ("Different"). Its melody and words symbolize the uniqueness of each KIU student.
According to students and teachers, the concert was a great opportunity not only to celebrate achievements, but also to be inspired for new achievements. They noted that such events unite, contribute to the discovery of talents and allow students to learn more about the opportunities provided by the university.
