KIU is one of the main organizers of the prestigious culinary festival.
An exhibition center “Kazan Fair” has hosted the main competition of technologists and culinary specialists of the national Tatar cuisine. During three days, students and professionals showed the way of cooking different national Tatar dishes such as “chak-chak”, “tatly”, main dishes fr om meat, hot and cold snacks.
The competition, initiated by our University and the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of the Republic of Tatarstan, is aimed to popularize principles of Tatar hospitality, to preserve and enhance traditions of the national cuisine. That’s why the competition is named after the most popular and honored Tatar culinary specialist, a popularizer of the Tatar cuisine.
KIU foreign students from Colombia Arenas Martinez Arian Daniel and Zapata Salamanca Danna Valentina took part in a culinary master-class wh ere they cooked a Colombian national dish “Bandeja Paisa” and told about their culinary traditions in the Russian language.
