For several years KIU has been steadily preparing WorldSkills champions. This year was not an exception. We have prepared several winners and medalists of the National Final of the Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia). Our graduate student Karina Khaleeva, the best in Europe in terms of competence "Entrepreneurship", was also awarded a high award. The awarding ceremony was held in the Kremlin Representative Corps.
"Your victories are the result of painstaking work and numerous trainings, - said President of Tatarstan R. N. Minnikhanov at the ceremony. - I sincerely congratulate the champions and medalists with an excellent result. I would like to address separate words of gratitude to experts, coaches and teachers for their support and work".
At the highest level were appreciated the services of our graduate student Karina Khaleeva, the winner of the championship EuroSkills 2018 in the competence "Entrepreneurship". At the solemn ceremony Karina was awarded the Honorary diploma of the President of Russia V. V. Putin. The award was handed over by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R. N. Minnikhanov. EuroSkills is a large-scale professional skills competition, in which all European countries participated. Our participant became the best - thanks to the talent, purposefulness and work with mentors of KIU.
Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan S. E. Ivanov awarded the contestants prepared by our university, who became winners and prize-winners in the following fields of competence: "Hotel administration" - Evgeny Semenov (gold); "Organization of excursion services". (juniors) - Leysan Galeyeva (bronze); "Excursion services organization" - Nelina Ziganshina (bronze); "Tourism" (juniors) - Emilia Khusnullina and Milena Viktorova (bronze).
The success of Tatarstan is not accidental, because the Certified Competence Center (CCC) created in our university systematically and effectively prepares participants of WorldSkills for the Republic. The result is indicative: the first place of Evgeny Semenov is the first victory of the Republic of Tatarstan in the competence of "Hotel Administration" for all the existence of WorldSkills in Russia.
Yevgeniy himself gives a significant role to the mentors in his victory. He was trained by KIU instructors Igor Guryanov and expert-compatriot Ruslan Kurochkin. I got very good training at KIU," he says. - At the same time, I received skills as an administrator in a hotel complex. With mentors we practiced and brought various techniques to automatism. Knowing my strengths and weaknesses, we understood what to pay more attention to.
This year, at the initiative of Russia, for the first time in the world practice, WorldSkills competitions were held in the distance-accurate format. This allowed to expand the number of participants: the championship became the largest not only in Russia, but also in the world.
The WSR National Stage is 42 participating regions and a huge competition. The competence of "Hotel Management" is international, and therefore the requirements are the strictest. Nevertheless, the contestant, prepared by our university, successfully demonstrated the necessary skills: check-in/check-out, guest assistance, force majeure situations. Evgeniy Semenov admits that the administrator's work requires stress tolerance and the ability to find an approach to clients. But if you master these skills, the work will become very exciting and will never get bored and make useful acquaintances.
Well, training WorldSkills champions in our university is stable and effective. We congratulate the current winners and medalists and look forward to new victories - together for the benefit of the Republic of Tatarstan!
