On the World Day of Tatar Cuisine and the 95th anniversary of the birth of the famous chef Yunus Akhmetzyanov, KIU held a Tatar dishes cooking master class .
In our Studio of National Culinary named after Yunus Akhmetzyanov, famous chefs of Kazan restaurants presented national dishes in a new interpretation using modern innovative technologies.
Technological students of the Faculty of Hospitality and Design, under the guidance of teachers, prepared Tatar dishes according to the classic recipes of Yunus Akhmetzyanov, the legendary culinary specialist who collected traditional recipes, improved them and brought Tatar cuisine to the world level.
The event was attended by the grandson of Y. Akhmetzyanov Iskander Davidov, Executive Director of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan Galina Sharafutdinova, founder of the network of fast food restaurants "Tubetey" Sultan Safin, chef Rational, concept chef Tatar by Tubetey Alexei Chernov, the chef of the Marusovka restaurant, the best chef according to WTE Rustam Rakhimov, the director of Leuven LLC Ilshat Mirziyev.
“In addition to the competition, we constantly hold master classes, seminars together with the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as with our employers,” said Elena Matveeva, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Design at KIU, in her greeting. - Last year, the Studio of National Culinary named after Y. Akhmetzyanov was opened in KIU with modern high-tech equipment. You can also see the wonderful publications about national cuisine published by the KIU publishing house.”
Our students took part in an exciting master class, competed with eminent chefs, and then the guests enjoyed tasting the fruits of the skill of beginners and professional chefs. And friendship won the competition.
