Vice-Rector for Continuing Education of KIU named after V. G. Timiryasov, Director of the Research Institute of Pedagogical Innovation and Inclusive Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Daniya Akhmetova was invited as an expert of the X All-Russian contest “Best Inclusive School in Russia-2023”. Also, from October 25 to October 27, 2023, she moderated the seventh section of the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Topical Issues of Providing Conditions for Inclusive Education in the Russian Federation.”
The X All-Russian contest “Best Inclusive School in Russia-2023” was held in two stages: regional and federal. The winners of regional competitions in four categories were allowed to participate in the federal stage: “Best inclusive kindergarten”, “Best inclusive school”, “Best inclusive professional educational organization” and “Best inclusive organization of children’s recreation and their health”. Daniya Akhmetova, as an expert, assessed the work of the correspondence part of the federal stage of the competition in the nomination “Best inclusive organization of recreation for children and their health improvement,” which took place from September 11 to October 1, 2023. From October 23 to 25 in Moscow, she became a member of the expert commission for an in-person assessment of 20 organizations for children's recreation and their health in Russia.
The competition presented a wide range of organizations - educational, youth centers that organize recreation and health improvement for children in Russia, not only for those who are conventionally typical, but also for those with various characteristics. Dania Akhmetova highly appreciated the contribution of Russian teachers and organizers to inclusive activities in the implementation of the law “On Education in the Russian Federation”.
At the invitation of the Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University (Federal Center for the Development of Inclusive Education under the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation), from October 25 to 27, 2023, Dania Akhmetova acted as a moderator of the seventh section of the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Topical issues of ensuring conditions for inclusive education in Russian Federation". The main goal of the conference was to discuss the main strategies for the development of the inclusive process, issues of ensuring conditions and successful practices of inclusive education, combining the efforts of science, practice and the public in the development of the inclusive process, as well as a scientific discussion of the theoretical and methodological foundations of social and educational inclusion.
The conference was attended by heads of departments of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, specialists from educational authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, who oversee the issues of inclusive general, vocational, and additional education for people with disabilities and students with disabilities; research assistants; managers and teaching staff of educational organizations implementing inclusive education; specialists in psychological and pedagogical support of education and other interested parties.
Daniya Akhmetova noted the importance of this conference and emphasized the need to exchange experience between organizations and create a unified system for the development of inclusive education in Russia.
