Kazan Innovative University has been awarded in the nomination “Contribution to development of tourism market of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of Tourism Education – 2018” on the republic contest “Tourism Leader”.

This victory is the result of wide and concerted efforts of the faculty of Service, Tourism, Food Service Management of Kazan Innovative University for 2018.

This year the innovative program “Touristic competency on the world of professions” is launched for the purpose of creation the system of effective professional orientation program at school, student formation of basic touristic competencies. One more prospective project “Tatar breakfast” supposes entrenchment of Tatar cuisine dish for breakfasts in hotels.

This year we started a mutual program with «FIT HOLIDAYS/Biblioglobus» on internship of students to Turkey. In autumn 2018 KIU has become a Member of large European Association of schools in the field of tourism and hospitality EURHODIP. In 2018 we continue cooperation with Academy of Tourism (Greece) on organization of educational internships for students of courses “Tourism”, “Hotel Business”, “Service” for summer period in Greece (studying + paid internship in Greek hotels).

These and other results of the University activity were claimed at the Scientific and Methodical Session “Actual Problems of HR and organization of scientific research in the field of tourism” which was held on the base of Kazan Innovative University (December 21-22).

The Vice-rector on Academic affairs, Dr, Yuliya Kamasheva, mentioned active University participation on WorldSKillsRussia movement: «We are the winners in such competencies like “Tourism”, “Entrepreneurship”, “Organization of excursion service”.

KIU student Karina Khaleeva was awarded the 1^st place in EuroSkills2018 in the competency “Entrepreneurship”.

Kazan Innovative University named after V.G.Timiryasov (IEML) and University of Pula named after J.Dobrilla (Croatia) were awarded Erasmus+ scholarship on Credit Mobility for 2019-2020.
