During the official meeting, the participants discussed ongoing joint projects as well as promising areas for future cooperation. Language education remains an important component of the partnership: KIU continues to expand Chinese language studies, while students and faculty are provided with additional opportunities for language practice and immersion in Chinese culture. Particular attention was given to the development of joint academic programs, the implementation of collaborative research projects, and the expansion of educational initiatives focused on training specialists for the economies of Russia and China.
The parties exchanged experience on the development of modern educational environments, the promotion of innovation, and the creation of conditions that support students’ professional and personal development. Special interest was shown in issues related to workforce training in response to rapidly changing labour market demands, the enhancement of practice-oriented education, and the expansion of opportunities for student participation in educational and professional initiatives. KIU’s extensive experience in implementing projects aimed at improving the quality of education and strengthening students’ professional competencies was particularly noted. Lilya Vorontsova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Strategic Development, emphasized that the partnership between Kazan Innovative University and Heilongjiang University of Finance and Economics is an important element of the university’s international strategy, contributing to the strengthening of academic and research dialogue between Russia and China.
Members of the Chinese delegation highly praised the hospitality extended to them and expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and constructive exchange of views. They also reaffirmed their commitment to further developing the partnership on the basis of mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to advancing education and research. At the conclusion of the visit, the parties signed an Agreement on the Development of International Academic Mobility and confirmed their readiness to continue expanding cooperation, emphasizing the importance of building sustainable international partnerships and creating new opportunities for academic mobility among students and professors.
