KIU is ranked among Russia's Top 5 private universities in the Interfax University Ranking

Interfax has released the latest edition of its National University Ranking. Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov has been ranked 5^th among Russia’s private universities in the overall ranking and 7^th among all universities in the Republic of Tatarstan, where, according to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, a total of 41 higher education institutions are currently operating.

The result reflects our strong performance across all ranking categories: Education, Innovation, Brand, Research, Social Environment, and Cooperation. Here is what each of these criteria represents.

Once again, we have confirmed our status as an innovative university by ranking 1^st in the Innovation category. This achievement comes as no surprise: KIU is among Russia’s leading universities in fostering startups and entrepreneurial initiatives, while our Business Accelerator enables students to transform their business ideas into fully developed startup projects. Since the launch of the acceleration program, 29 students have each received grants of one million rubles to support the development of their own ventures.

Our 3^rd place in the Social Environment category demonstrates that we provide one of the best environments in Russia for personal development, student life, and youth initiatives.

Ranking 4^th in the Brand category reflects the university’s strong reputation and public recognition, while 5^th place in both Education and Cooperation further confirms KIU’s position as an international university committed to delivering high-quality education.
