Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov and Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University are the only universities in the Republic of Tatarstan included in the Interfax University Ranking for Psychology.
Today, Psychology is becoming an increasingly popular field of study, and many universities are introducing psychology programs. As a result, prospective students often find it difficult to determine where they can receive a truly high-quality education.
When choosing a university, it is important to look beyond the title of the academic program. Consider how long the university has been training specialists in the chosen field, whether it holds a license and state accreditation, whether it actively develops research, how many graduates have completed the program, and whether faculty members and students participate in research and professional projects. These indicators help distinguish a university with many years of experience and a strong academic tradition from one where the program has been introduced only recently.
Another important point of reference is independent rankings. They provide insight into a university's performance and help assess the quality of specialists training based on objective indicators.
The ranking was complied using data on academic programs provided by universities, survey results from faculty members, students, and graduates of psychology programs, data from the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), results of the national student competition "I Am a Professional", and information on the professional and public accreditation of Psychology programs.
According to the Interfax Ranking for Psychology, KIU achieved the following results:
- 29th place among 60 Russian universities in the overall ranking.
KIU also ranked among the top 20 universities in the remaining categories:
- 17th place based on the assessment of university administration
- 8th place based on the assessment of faculty members
- 14th place based on students' assessment of the academic program
- 3rd place based on graduates' assessment of the academic program
