Students of Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov are taking part in an intensive summer educational program hosted by Eastern Liaoning University (China), a long-standing partner of KIU. The project provides an excellent opportunity to study the Chinese language, experience the richness of Chinese culture firsthand, gain a deeper understanding of the country, and broaden professional horizons.
The camp program is designed to combine academic study with an active exploration of China's history and contemporary life. Classes include intensive Chinese language courses and intercative sessions on Chinese history and culture, wushu, vocal arts, and calligraphy. Students improve their speaking and listening skills through conversation clubs with native speakers. Particular emphasis is placed on practical learning: participants complete engaging assignments, simulate real-life dialogues, and work on projects related to intercultural communication.
An important part of the program is its educational field trips, which include visits to such iconic cities as Beijing, Shenyang, Dandong, Lüshun, and Dalian. Students have the opportunity to explore the political and cultural heart of the country.
In addition to excursions, the program features workshops on traditional crafts and tea ceremonies, meetings with Chinese students and faculty members, and cultural evenings where participants share aspects of their own countries and cultures. For KIU students, this is a valuable experience of intercultural dialogue that they will be able to apply in their future professional careers.
Participation in the summer educational camp is another step forward for KIU in strengthening international cooperation and creating broad opportunities for its students. Programs like this help prepare a new generation of professionals who are ready to work confidently in a global professional environment.
