KIU hosted opening ceremony for the International Summer School for students of Eastern Liaoning University.
Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov hosted the official opening ceremony of the International Summer School for students of Eastern Liaoning University, marking a new stage in the development of the long-standing partnership between the two institutions.
Kazan Innovative University and Eastern Liaoning University already implement joint educational programs, including dual degree programs, and actively promote academic exchanges. The launch of the Summer School is intended to strengthen these ties and provide Chinese students with a unique opportunity for study and cultural exchange in Kazan.
As part of the Summer School, participants will take part in a diverse program designed both to deepen their professional knowledge and to introduce them to the culture and traditions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.
In her welcoming remarks, KIU Rector Asiya Timiryasova emphasized that Russia and China are not only strategic partners with strong economic ties, but also friendly nations with rich cultural heritage. She noted that education and direct interaction among young people form the foundation for strengthening mutual understanding between nations. Asiya Timiryasova wished the participants productive studies and memorable experiences in Kazan.
Lu Wei Jia, Director of the Student Affairs Office at ELU, welcomed the participants and thanked KIU for its warm hospitality. He noted that the two universities have already established productive cooperation in the field of joint educational programs and student exchanges, and that the current internship will become an important step in broadening students' international outlook and strengthening mutual understanding between the younger generations of the two countries. He stated that the participants intend to become "ambassadors" of friendship during the Russia-China Cross-Year of Cooperation in Education and expressed confidence that the program would be successful and yield meaningful results. He also wished for the further strengthening of partnership ties between the two universities.
The participants now have an intensive program ahead of them that will undoubtedly leave a lasting mark on the history of cooperation between the two universities.
