A delegation from Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed, formalizing the parties’ intention to develop a long-term partnership and laying the foundation for new areas of interaction. This event opens a new practical stage in cooperation between the academic systems of Tatarstan and Shandong Province.
Yantai University is one of the largest and most dynamically developing universities in Shandong Province (China), and its research and educational potential opens up large-scale strategic prospects for Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. With a strong research base, advanced infrastructure, and recognized academic expertise in engineering, international law, business, and the humanities, the university brings together tens of thousands of students and scholars from around the world. Priority areas include training specialists for Russian-Chinese business, academic exchanges and internships, joint educational programs, research, invitations for faculty, and student projects implemented together with Yantai’s enterprises and innovation infrastructure. The agreements reached take the internationalization of both universities to a new level and open up global opportunities for students to start careers at major international companies.
International cooperation is one of Yantai University’s key areas of activity. The university has about 30,000 students, 24 faculties, and 32 research institutes. Its educational infrastructure includes 64 bachelor’s programs, as well as master’s and doctoral programs in ten broad fields of knowledge. The university maintains partnerships with universities and research organizations in various countries, implements student exchange and joint training programs, and participates in international educational projects. According to the university, its partner network covers more than 37 countries and regions and more than 190 universities and academic organizations.
For KIU, cooperation with Yantai University opens up new opportunities for developing a joint educational center for Russian-Chinese business and international trade. The platform is expected to focus on training specialists capable of working in Russian-Chinese companies and joint projects. The educational content is proposed to include the economies and business environments of Russia and China, international trade and investment management, international relations, business communications, logistics and foreign trade operations, and the legal foundations of doing business.
Cooperation between KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov and Yantai University will provide a basis for the consistent development of Russian-Chinese educational and scientific ties. Practical interaction between the universities will expand opportunities for students and faculty, strengthen the exchange of professional competencies, and implement new initiatives at the intersection of education, science, and business. The first stage of interaction will focus on launching concrete initiatives that can subsequently form a sustainable partnership system between KIU and Yantai University.
